New research suggests that alcohol might not be as good for the heart as once thought. The study examined data from the Framingham Heart Study…A large, ongoing study that looks at the risk factors for heart disease. A new study finds that drinking alcohol – Even in moderation – May increase the size of the heart’s chambers…And leave people at risk for irregular heartbeat and a host of other problems. Researchers analyzed data from more than 5,200 people. But researchers point out that these findings may not apply to everyone – Some people may be genetically pre-disposed to atrial fibrillation. The study is published in The Journal of the American Heart Association.
