College and Career Fair for CALCO Schools

High School Seniors of one local school system participate in a college and career fair. The Calhoun County Schools annual College and Career Fair took place at Jacksonville State University. High School Seniors from 16 schools from across Calhoun County met with colleges from all over the US and local businesses looking to hire students. School administrators says this is a great way to prepare students to go straight into college or straight into a career. Majesty Bush says she wants to attend UAB. She says this type of fair is making it easier to get ready for the transition. She recently met with a UAB recruiter. Seniors Jordan Montgomery and Annabelle Shelly say they appreciate the opportunity and are hopeful about the contacts they are making today. 900 students attended today’s career and college fair.
