High school football season and especially those football season Fridays are for more than just high schoolers at one local high school and its neighboring elementary school. Ohatchee High School senior football players help Ohatchee Elementary School students as they arrive for school on Friday mornings. The football players help welcome elementary student car riders by opening doors and helping students out of their cars. They also help unload school buses. Participants say that it is fun and you get to know the children. The players say most elementary students wish them luck for the upcoming game. The players also eat breakfast with the elementary students and have conversations. During the event, they also put fake tattoos on the students. This is the first year the Ohatchee Indians Football Team Seniors have participated in this initiative.
