Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act Vetoed

Saturday, October 1, 2016

A US Representative from East Alabama is talking about his decision to vote in favor of a recent veto. Congressman Mike Rogers says he voted to support the veto of the "Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act". The congressman says that the bill is narrowly drafted to apply only to foreign governments that support terrorist acts within the United States and that - most importantly - the bill is about justice for the families who lost loved ones during the September 11th terrorist attacks. He adds that fifteen years is too long to wait for justice and it is shocking that President Obama would put the government of Saudi Arabia ahead of American families still hurting here at home.
