Woman Arrested in Connection with Counterfeit Money

A Guntersville woman has been arrested in connection to obtaining counterfeit money. Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin says, 38-year-old Amy Jo Reaves Conn of Guntersville, is charged with one count of first degree possession of a forged instrument, which is a felony. Conn was believed to be in possession of nine pieces of counterfeit money. She was arrested after a Deputy made a traffic stop on the vehicle she was riding in. Conn was also in possession of illegal narcotics and paraphernalia. Additional charges were brought forth by the Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit. Conn is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $5,000 bond for possession of the forged instruments.
