One man is dead and another injured after a reported shooting near Shiloh Community Church Saturday night. According to DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris, the incident took place in Higdon. Authorities found 40-year-old Cody Wade of Higdon, in possession of a gun. Wade’s mother told deputies the incident began with a domestic dispute between Wade and a woman. The woman called two men, Barry White and William Gilreath, to give her a ride. When they arrived, Wade tried to get into their vehicle. When he couldn’t, White drove away and Wade began to shoot at them. Both men were struck by gunshots and the vehicle ran off into a ditch near the church. 45-year-old Barry White of Walker County, Georgia died at the scene. William Gilreath, of Jackson County, survived. Wade has been charged with murder and is being held in the DeKalb County Detention Center.
