A ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for the Jacksonville State University College of Nursing new Simulation Center and the Alacare Home Health and Hospice Suite. Fourth year JSU College of Nursing student Eric Mora says the lab helps students learn to critically think through situations as if in a real-life scenario. According to officials, the development process began in October 2014, and the first group of students entered the completed lab this month. They say it will allow the university and medical institutions in the community to continue their strong partnership. JSU College of Nursing Simulation Coordinator Katie Robinson says a simple thank you to supporters would be an understatement as compared to the magnitude of impact this will have on student learning. The center is located at Brookstone Physician Center in Jacksonville.
