Toddler Hot SUV Death Trial

Thursday, October 6, 2016

The murder trial continues for an Alabama native accused of leaving his toddler son in a hot SUV to die in Georgia. Justin Ross Harris once lived in Tuscaloosa County. He’s on trial in Georgia for the death of his son, Cooper. Prosecutors claim the man purposely left the child inside his hot SUV outside his office complex near Atlanta in June 2014.  They claim Harris was unhappily married to his son's mother and wanted a way out. Defense attorneys say Harris forgot to drop the boy at daycare and that it’s all a tragic accident. The trial is expected to last for several weeks.
