High Football School Awards: Week Seven

Wednesday, October 12, 2016

Each Tuesday night in the season we hand out our High School football awards from the previous week’s performances. Week seven winners:

The Foothills Tractor Player of the Week goes to Saks running back Rodney Reddick. The senior collected 251 yards on 23 carries and a touchdown in the Wildcats' 28-12 win over Anniston. As the Player of the Week, Reddick will get a dinner for two at Local Joe’s Restaurant. Reddick and the Wildcats (4-3) have won four of their last five games as they get set to travel to Oneonta for another big region matchup in week seven.

Our KFC Team of the Week is Gadsden City. The Titans looked very impressive in their 46-41 upset victory over then-8th ranked Bob Jones on the road. The team of the week honor means the Titans are "getting the chicken, t-shirt and trophy" later this week. This Friday Gadsden City (3-5) will host Sparkman as they look to keep their playoff hopes alive.
