The Calhoun County 911 District Board of Commissioners shares plans to improve emergency communications. The group hosted a public safety meeting this morning at the Oxford Civic Center to discuss funding opportunities for future upgrades to the radio system. Calhoun County 911 Director, Kevin Jenkins says they have a five- year plan in place. Jenkins also says that 99 percent of Calhoun County’s critical services use the radio system. The Board has scheduled a meeting for November 19th to further discuss possibilities to put this plan into action.
