Jeffery Wilcox Jr. Court Appearance

A Cherokee County judge rules that there is enough evidence to move forward with a case against a man accused of killing his in-laws and kidnapping his wife. This video from WEIS radio shows deputies escorting Jeffery Wilcox, Junior for his preliminary hearing Tuesday. After hearing testimony, the judge agreed to send the case to a grand jury. Wilcox is charged with Capital Murder in the deaths of Daniel and Letitia Andrews. Investigators believe Wilcox shot the couple at their home on County Road 19 back on July 31st, and then kidnapped his wife, Chassidy Wilcox. Mr. Wilcox drove all the way to South Dakota with his wife before returning to Cherokee County where he turned himself in at the sheriff's office. Mrs. Wilcox testified that five children were present at the time of the murders, but they were able to run into a wooded area. A driver later saw the children and took them to the Centre Police Department. Jeffery Wilcox, Junior is being held in the Cherokee County Detention Center without bond.
