Non-Traditional Homecoming Queen Candidate

A non-traditional student is in the running for royalty. Nicki Arnold Swindle is a candidate for homecoming queen at Jacksonville State University. She represents all the non-traditional students. Nicki is the mother of 6, wife to a disabled veteran, a minister at First Christian Church, radio talk show host, writes for the JSU newspaper and is a full-time student. Nicki has created an organization called S.A.I.N.T.S, which stands for Support for At Risk Independent and Non-Traditional Students. Nicki says this experience has been exhausting but rewarding, in the fact that she has met so many great people. Students can begin voting tonight at 12:01 all the way until 4pm tomorrow afternoon. Wednesday the top 5 will be announced and Thursday at the JSU pep rally, the homecoming queen and king will be crowned.
