A department in a local university is creating a center to help law enforcement improve safety. Jacksonville State University’s Criminal Justice Department is creating a center for law enforcement agents to better interact with people. The center will also offer courses to the community on how law enforcement operates. Jacksonville State’s head of Criminal Justice Department, Rick Davis says this center is something that will help the community. JSU board of trustees approved the center last week. The criminal justice department established a center for Applied Forensics in 2011, which provides forensic services when law enforcement agencies need it. You can learn more about the center by visiting the JSU website.
