Attorney General Addresses Firearm Restriction Complaints

Attorney General Luther Strange is addressing a few complaints his office received concerning possible unlawful prohibitions of firearms from the Alabama Department of Human Resources and others. One complaint said that the Birmingham Airport Authority failed to comply with Alabama law because it prohibited firearms in the taxi driver break room at the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport. After the Attorney General communicated with the Airport Authority, it was determined that the airport meets the requirements under the state law.
