A warrant roundup in Etowah County has landed dozens of people in jail. The sheriff’s office kicked off “Operation Daybreak” early this morning. Deputies are working with local, state, and federal agencies to serve the warrants across the county. At last check, authorities had arrested 39 people on 39 warrants with an additional 14 people arrested while serving those warrants. The majority of warrants in Operation Daybreak are for felony narcotic crimes, with more than half of those suspects wanted for drug distribution and drug trafficking charges. Agents have seized vehicles, cash and drugs during the roundup.
