Guilty Verdict in Murder and Dismemberment Trial
It took a jury a little less than an hour to find a Cherokee County man guilty of killing and dismembering his handyman. Terry Lee McKinney heard his verdict Wednesday afternoon. Investigators believe that McKinney shot and killed Leroy Foster in March of 2015. They say McKinney then used a chainsaw to dismember the victim's body before putting it in plastic bags and throwing them from his car along Cherokee County Road 82 in Cedar Bluff. The judge has tentatively scheduled McKinney's sentencing hearing for November 23.
