Superintendents visit Calhoun County schools learning about how to improve the education of our students. State Superintendent, Michael Sentance took several different tours of schools in Calhoun County. Mr. Sentance says in order to see what is successful you have to see what kind of changes educators are making in their classrooms. He also says he wants people to come to Alabama for the education. Calhoun County Superintendent, Joe Dyer toured the schools alongside Mr. Sentence. Dyer says he hopes the board members will take what they saw today in the schools and put them to use. When asked about the recent comments by Governor Robert Bentley, Dyer says that if the governor were to come to Calhoun County he would see how great the school system is along with things that can be improved upon.
