No. 1 JSU Defense Dominates In Road Win

Tuesday, November 8, 2016

For the second time in three weeks, the JSU defense stepped up and had a huge game to propel the Gamecocks to a win. The team remains unbeaten (5-0) in OVC play with a 17-10 win at Southeast Missouri. The stat of the day: the Gamecock defense gave up zero rushing yards to SEMO, the fist time in JSU's Div. I history an opponent failed to run for positive yards. If opposing offenses thought facing this defense is scary enough, they believe the unit can play even better.

They will get another challenge in Murray State this weekend. The Racers offense throws for over 300 yards per game, but JSU has improved a lot in the secondary. The Gamecocks and Racers square off Saturday in Murray, Kentucky at 1:00 pm.
