Friday, November 18, 2016

A wildfire is out but dry conditions and hotspots hold concern. The wildfire near Sylacauga has burned out to all control lines. Fire Manager Officer, Scott Layfield says they are using hand crews, engines, and helicopters to mop-up hotspots along the lines. Layfield says even though there is a chance of rain Friday, the amounts are not expected to be significant. The Talladega National Forest and Ranger District are preparing for continuing dry conditions and higher winds.
