A friendly wager has one mayor wearing blue and gold. Weaver Mayor, Wayne Willis and Piedmont Mayor, Bill Baker placed a bet over the rivalry between the two high school’s football game last Friday night. Much to Mayor Willis’s disappointment the Piedmont Bulldogs pulled out the win 52 to 28. Which means, he has to wear a Piedmont jersey to a council meeting. Before the game each mayor agreed that it didn’t matter who won as long as people came out to support their team.
