A standoff with police ends with a Glencoe woman in custody. The standoff lasted more than an hour this morning. Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin says the woman barricaded herself in an apartment on Nancy Carrol Avenue when authorities tried to serve her an eviction notice. The woman was armed with a gun. A negotiator from the Gadsden police department was called in along with the Joint Special Operations Group. Authorities had to use tear gas in order to enter the apartment. No one was injured during the incident.
