State Farm Offers Tips

During this holiday shopping season State Farm urges you to use caution in the parking lots. Parking lots at malls and supermarkets are packed. The insurance company reminds drivers that if you hit, scrape or damage a parked car, or if you’re the victim there are steps you can take. If you hit a parked car, track down the owner, go into the store and describe the car to an employee. Leave a note, if you can’t find the owner jot down your basic information. Call the police, depending on how extensive the damage is, you may need to let authorities document the accident. If your the victim, Contact your insurance agent, let them know what happened. Take note and record evidence, take pictures and get the other drivers information. It is also important to remember to drive slowly and be aware of your surroundings while in a parking lot. These tips can make your holiday shopping experience more enjoyable.
