Bomb Threat at Local Apartment Complex

Wednesday, November 30, 2016

Jacksonville police are investigating a bomb threat that forced many people from their homes. Police received a call at 10:25 this morning about a man with a bomb at Park Place Apartments near the Pete Matthews Coliseum at JSU.  Police arrived at the apartment building within minutes, bringing police dogs to help sniff out the possible bomb. No bomb was found and the building was cleared for people to reenter their apartments a short time later. Jacksonville Police Chief Tommy Thompson says they currently have no suspects, but believe the threat was possibly made by someone who was angry with the complex management.
