A popular game could soon return to one Calhoun County town. Members of the Hobson City Council gave approval for a bingo application from a group known as I-20 Bingo. The paperwork now goes to the Calhoun County Bingo Regulatory Commission for review. The commission rescinded the group’s original permit in May. If approved, I-20 Bingo will start calling games from its building on the southwest side of town. Hobson City Mayor, Alberta McCory says her town is the birthplace of Bingo. If bingo resumes, the group will put 500 dollars into Hobson City’s account each week. They plan to use paper Bingo cards, with a maximum jackpot of one-thousand dollars. They hope to operate games Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
