Larry Davidson Court Dedication at Oxford

Oxford High School's basketball court is now officially named Larry Davidson Court. The school honored the Hall of Fame coach in a surprise ceremony on Friday night. Davidson led the Yellow Jackets in hoops for 26 seasons (1980-2006). His teams won 415 games, six Calhoun County championships, five regional tournament appearances, 18 playoff appearances, seven 20-plus win seasons and numerous Coach of the Year honors.

Davidson was inducted into the Alabama High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 2013. In addition to basketball, Davidson served as an assistant football coach, tennis coach and is currently the school's athletic director.
