An East Alabama college is collecting coats for those in need this holiday season. Gadsden State Community College is currently holding their annual coat drive. People from all over Etowah County are donating coats for children and adults. New or mildly-used coats, jackets or hoodies are all welcome. Some of the coats go to students, but most of them go to the Etowah Baptist Association Mission Center. Gadsden State Instructor, Deborah Reynolds says it’s a humbling feeling. The program has collected more than 2700 coats, jackets and sweaters. The coat drive will last until January 15th. If you would like to donate you can visit the Gadsden State website for details.
