Local Students Getting Chromebooks

Students in Calhoun County are getting some new laptops that can help their education. During the Thanksgiving break Calhoun County Schools received hundreds of Chromebook. These are a different type of laptop. Instead of Windows 10 or MacBook’s, Chromebooks run on Google Chrome. Calhoun County IT Director, Jenel Travis says these books are an important necessity. Calhoun County Schools now have an estimated three-thousand Chromebooks. The Chromebooks were provided by the Legislatures through the Alabama Head Act.
