An Etowah County organization is educating students about keeping their community beautiful. The 16th annual Etowah County Water Festival was held on the Wallace Drive Campus of Gadsden State Community College hosted by Keep Etowah Beautiful. More than 1,200 fourth graders from several schools took part in the hands-on activities. Keep Etowah Beautiful Executive Director, Lisa Dover says the kids are eager to learn. High school students help teach the younger students about water cleanliness. The festival is designed to educate students and their families about all aspects of groundwater. Students and teachers received a free Water Festival t-shirt. The students got to attend a magic show by the Fishin’ Magician as well.
