More people are working. Alabama Department of Labor says more people living in Calhoun County have jobs than a year ago. The total labor force grew, meaning more people were confident in the job market. The report also states that unemployment rates dropped from 6.7% in November 2015 to 6.2% this year. The report also shows that the county gained 100 jobs in the transportation and warehouse sectors. Over the course of the year wage and salary employment has also increased to 19,000.
