Governor's Impeachment Investigation Paused

The Alabama House Judiciary Committee says it’s waiting on word from the state attorney general to resume its impeachment investigation of Governor Robert Bentley. Attorney General Luther Strange asked the committee to stop working on the proceedings back in November citing “related” work. Bentley has continued to deny any illegal or unethical behavior by himself or anyone on his staff, past or present. He did admit to saying inappropriate things to his top adviser, who resigned after the allegation of an affair was made public.
