The Talladega College Tornado Marching Band has returned from its trip to perform in the inaugural parade in Washington D.C. A group of people gathered today as band members shared their experience and what they learned. Sophomore, Marco Vera says that despite the disapproval the band received for its trip, he felt supported. During the inauguration, band members sat near military personal. Senior Joseph Madison says not many of the band members have traveled that far and weren’t sure what to expect. Several of the band’s members say that it was an honor and a once in a life time opportunity to perform for the president of the United States. The Tornado Marching Band visited several monuments while in D.C. and took full advantage of the chance to learn more about our nation.
