A local library is helping some special needs students get hands on experience in the work force. The Beautiful Rainbow Cafe' will open soon in the Gadsden Public Library main branch. The Cafe' is part of a program for special needs students in the Gadsden City School System. Students have been gardening, studying cooking skills, and learning work techniques. Beautiful Rainbow Project Director Chip Rowan says this program prepares students for their futures. Rowan says that to see the students create something is an inspiring experience. The students not only cook the food but they prep and clean up afterwards. Bryan Snow says he wants to be a master chef someday. The café will officially open on February 14th. Their hours will be Tuesday thru Friday for lunch from 11-1 and then after school they will serve pastries and coffee from 3:30-6. Rowan says that the skills the students learn gives them a better outlook on life.
