A Gadsden man who shot at an officer fails a drug test and could serve time. Danny Lipscomb could go to prison, instead of the Etowah County Community Correction after failing a drug test. Lipscomb faced 10 years in prison for shooting at Gadsden police officer Byram Hammonds in 2009. On January 30th of this year Lipscomb plead guilty to a much lesser charge of attempted first-degree assault. Only days after being released Lipscomb failed a drug test, by testing positive for cocaine and marijuana. Lipscomb is being held at the Etowah County Detention Center.
