Severe Weather Awareness Week

During Severe Weather Awareness Week one insurance company is bringing awareness and making recommendations on how to stay safe. State Farm reports it paid more than $6000 for wind and hail related claims across the state of Alabama last year. The company wants to encourage people to stay informed and up to date on the safety measures. Create an emergency kit with water, food, first aid, medications and other essentials. Sit down with your family and have a plan, then review to make sure everyone knows what to do. Stay informed by listening to your local radio and TV stations. Also make sure to contact your insurance agent to go over your policy. State Farm’s mission is to help people manage the risks of everyday life.
