A young store owner is helping bring awareness to an addiction that has personally affected her life. 21-year-old Abby Chaffin is making signs in an attempt to teach people about the effects of heroin. Chaffin plans to march in Birmingham’s End Heroin walk this Saturday hosted by the Addiction Prevention Coalition. Chaffin says a man walked into her store that had just been released from jail and she had invited him to an event. Chaffin says that people addicted to Heroin are not bad people, they are just in a difficult situation and need love and help from those around them. The End Heroin Walk will begin at 10 am and last until noon at Railroad Park.
