A school sends out requests for hygiene items and gets a much bigger gift than they could have hoped for. Alexandria Elementary School is having their spring picture day tomorrow and wants their students to look their best. School counselor Rhonda Smitherman posted a request on Facebook asking the community to donate hygiene products. A few days later Smitherman received calls from several hair salons offering free haircuts to students. Smitherman says that the school couldn’t have asked for a better day. Creative Cuts stylist Sammi-Ann Blankenship says it was a blessing to see the kid’s faces. Three salons took part in the free haircuts: Creative Cuts, Snipping Around and Expertise Cuts. About 60 students received new haircuts and hair-dos.
