New K-9 Officer Assists in Large Drug Bust


It didn’t take long for the Cedar Bluff Police Department’s newest officer to make a drug bust and it was a big one. The bust led to the seizure of a large amount of methamphetamine, firearms, drug paraphernalia and marijuana. That officer is the department’s new drug detection canine known as Jagger, was taken to the scene of a traffic stop near Cedar Bluff Park. Officers discovered a trafficking weight of methamphetamine along with a large stash of money. Officers arrested Keioga Quarles and Chanda Brumbelow on charges of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both are being held at the Cherokee County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
