Plans Begin for Alabama's 12th Annual Chocolate Festivals

A festival dedicated to something almost everyone loves is announcing the entertainment and getting ready for a family fun filled day. Rainbow City Mayor Terry John Calhoun announced the plans for the 12th annual Chocolate Festival Today. The all-day event is scheduled for April 1st with several bands and a special performance by 10 time male vocalist of the year, Collin Raye. Mayor Calhoun admits that when he was first approached about the idea for this festival, he wasn’t too sure about it. Again, the Alabama Chocolate Festival is scheduled for April 1st from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. and there is no admission fee. The festival will also feature treasure hunts, egg tosses and more. A chocolate taste-off will also be held and cash prizes will be given out to the first, second and third place winners, along with a 150 dollar prize for Best Overall Presentation.
