Sessions Recuses Himself from Investigation

Friday, March 3, 2017

U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is in the hot seat over the fact that he failed to reveal two meetings with Russian officials. Today, Sessions announced the decision to recuse himself from any investigation related to Russian Contact with President Donald Trump’s 2016 Presidential Campaign. Sessions made the decision after it came out that he failed at his senate confirmation hearings to disclose pre-election meetings with Moscow’s Ambassador to Washington. Those meetings were at the same time Russia was accused of interfering in the presidential race. Some democrats argue that the recusal is not sufficient and that Sessions should resign.
