A Family Charged With Multiple Home Burglaries

Five family members are facing felony charges in connection to a rash of home burglaries in Etowah County. Octavius Nash and his two sons, Trenton and Trevon Nash, their mother, April Wiggins, and a cousin, Maweesshea Carter, are all suspected of the crimes. Investigators believe the group broke into three homes last month in the Duck Springs area. They’re accused of stealing a shotgun and numerous electronics. Investigators found several of the stolen items at local pawn shops. All five suspects were book into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on bond. Each is charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, one count of first-degree theft of property, one count of second-degree theft of property, and one count of fourth-degree theft of property.
