Health Corporation Agrees to Sell Cherokee Medical Center

A health corporation agrees to sell a local hospital. Quorum Health Corporation announced Friday that the Company has signed a definitive agreement to sell Cherokee Medical Center and its associated assets. Quorum Health Corporation is an operator and manager of general acute care hospitals and outpatient services in the U.S. The company owns or leases 36 affiliated hospitals with an total of more than 3400 licensed beds. There is currently no buyer for the hospital, but an auction will be held at the end of April for companies that are interested.
