An underdog high school team will participate in a worldwide competition. The Ohatchee High School Robotics Team along with more than six-hundred other teams all across the world will battle against one another to see who is the best. The competition will be held in Louisville, Kentucky. One team from Ohatchee and three teams from White Plains. Math teacher and couch Susan Perkins says it’s a great way for the students to meet kids from all around the world. Perkins says their first tournament in January was not successful, but the students worked hard and practiced and have earned their spot in the World. The six students will get a chance to see and learn about robotics from different countries and how the math and science skills they use to build their robots can be used when finding a career.
