Tool Retailer Gives Back to Customers After Class Action Lawsuit

If you’ve shopped at Harbor Freight in the last five years, you may be owed money. The tool retailer settled a class action lawsuit that would give shoppers up to 30 percent back on purchases. The suit is related to claims that Harbor Freight falsely advertised items at sale prices or compared to prices when they were never actually sold at the higher price. The settlement covers purchases made between April 8, 2011 and December 15, 2016. Customers with receipts or credit or debit card statements can receive either 20 percent of the amount in cash or 30 percent in Harbor Freight gift cards. The deadline is August 7 to complete a Claim Form.
