Two Programs Work Together to Help Teachers Across the Nation

Two local programs are working together to help administrators and teachers across the nation. Jacksonville State University’s Collaborative Regional Education program and are partnering to bring a first-of-its-kind professional development program to K through 12 administrators and teachers across the nation. Most school districts under utilize their investment in technology. This new program will work to identify a teachers’ strengths and weaknesses and guide them on a path of professional development that will advance their skills in technology. CORE Membership Coordinator, Jessica Allen explains that this program is adjusted to fit each teacher individually. The project is part of the 12 million dollar grant awarded to JSU by the Department of Education in 2015 to scale its successful CORE educational model to a national audience.
