Former Alabama Governor Robert Bentley is moving out of his office and home. Thanks for joining us I’m Mickey Shadrix. Next week, a series of exit audits will begin at those state locations. State Auditor Jim Zeigler says Monday inventory will be taken at the historic governor’s mansion on South Perry Street in Montgomery. Bentley is responsible for 257 state assets worth nearly 900-thousand dollars. Zeigler and staff will take inventory of the governor’s east Montgomery mansion, donated by the estate of the late Wynton “Red” Blount. Finally inventory will be conducted of the Governor’s Mansion at the Gulf near Fort Morgan. Zeigler says the exit audits are required to be done whenever there is a change of administration.
