A young girl from Munford is making her way in show business. 12-year old Ramsey Whitney is rehearsing at least 5 hours a day in preparation for an off Broadway play. Whitney first started her acting career with CAST Anniston Theatre. She has enjoyed performing in several local productions including; Miracle on 34th Street, Cat on A Hot Tin Roof and Lion King. Last month, Whitney and her mother traveled to New York where she played the role of Lydia Benedict in a one-night concert performance of Tara Tremendous The Musical. Whitney is currently rehearsing with Red Mountain Theatre in Birmingham for a role in School of Rock. We caught up with the spunky 12-year old and talked about all the hard work she puts in. Whitney also tells us that when she isn’t rehearsing or preparing for a performance she loves to sleep and eat mac n’ cheese. The show will run from April 20th through April 30th.
