Local Elementary School Gets Extra Police Presence After Threat

A student’s threat results in an extra police presence at a Gadsden elementary school. Gadsden police officials confirm that extra officers were on hand today at C.A. Donehoo Elementary school in East Gadsden. Investigators say that a concerned mother contacted police last night after her child received a threatening message. Police determined that the message came from a fourth grader at the school.  According to facebook posts, some parents were reluctant to send their kids to school today, but no problems were reported.
