Cheaha State Park Superintendent Steps Down

Tuesday, May 2, 2017

A well-known park superintendent is calling it quits after decades on the job.  Tammy Power has spent the last 36 years working at Cheaha State Park. Power started working in 1981 as a waitress. We caught up with Power on her last day as the park’s superintendent to talk about how much the park means to her and her family. Power tells us that she will miss the view and the people she has met through the park. She even met her husband at Cheaha in 1982. Power also says that she plans to continue enjoying the park for years to come.
