DeKalb County Sheriff’s deputies made several drug-related arrests over the weekend, including a high school student. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on county road 44 in the Guest Community. During the stop John Narron and Tracey Freeman were found to have methamphetamine, illegal prescription pills and drug paraphernalia. Narron is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, illegal possession of prescription pills and unlawful drug paraphernalia. Freeman is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
On the same day deputies responded to a call on Municipal Drive in Fort Payne concerning possible drug activity. Once deputies arrived they found Heather Perryman and Billy McClendon outside the home. Drug paraphernalia and illegal prescription pills were seized. Perry and McClendon are charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Friday, Sheriff’s Office K-9 units conducted a search of Crossville and Fyffe High School. During the Fyffe search, Deputies found marijuana in a student’s locker and Xanax in their possession. This case has been turned over to the Juvenile Probation Office.
