Residents and visitors are getting ready for a summer of fun on Alabama Power lakes. It has taken several months of careful management, planning and coordination to get the water levels back up for this upcoming summer. Alabama Power is the state’s largest water manager. The company put into action its drought plan in June of last year. Alabama Power says that as a results of all the hard work, the six storage lakes are now at their summer levels. Alabama Power hydro experts say that while conditions are better, they will continue to monitor the weather and manage water resources carefully.
